Canoe, Kayak, and Paddleboard owners - this is the perfect opportunity for both veterans and newcomers alike to get out and enjoy the beautiful waters of Charles Mill Lake. 

The race begins and ends at the boat ramp. There will be both a six-mile loop race and a three-mile novice race with classes for men, women, and mixed teams. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each class. All paddlers will receive a t-shirt. All types of canoes, kayaks, and Standup Paddleboards are welcome. Recreational paddlers, who don't race regularly, will easily be able to complete the three-mile course. Hard core racers will enjoy the challenge of competing in the six-mile race. There is a $20 entry fee per person.

Registration begins at 8am with a mandatory pre-race meeting at 9:30am. The race begins at 10am. All paddlers must have a flotation device. Additional information is available online or by contacting Walt Markwell at 330-807-6337; email wmarkwell@windstream.net.
