Johnny Appleseed Heritage Center
The 1/2 mile entrance road winds up an elevation of 150 feet to reach the summit of the 45 acre Heritage Center site. As guests turn off State Route 603, we want them to "go back in time" to Johnny Appleseed's day and experience the "ocean of trees" that our early settlers encountered when they first arrived here in the early 1800s.
Featuring the JM Smucker Company Auditorium & Library, 1700 seat Amphitheatre and Rain Shelter. Parking areas for about 500 vehicles have been carved out of an old clear-cut area of the site with intervening boulevards of young trees and undergrowth maintained. Ample close-in parking for smaller groups.
